Chairman of the Board
On July 31, 1976 my wife and I got married, took a one day honeymoon, and then moved from Penticton B.C. to Red Deer, Alberta. We have been here ever since. We have 2 wonderful kids, a son 32 and a daughter 30. We have been in the kitchen cabinet business since 1989 as owner and manager of Woodmaster Cabinets Ltd.
I was saved in 1981 and it has been quite a journey ever since. I started riding in 2001 and joined CMA shortly after, getting my colors just days before the regional rally at Aberdeen Hall in Alberta. I loved the camaraderie , and there is nothing quite like a bunch of bikes rumbling down the road together.
I served as Chapter Vice President for the Gospel Warriors of Red Deer (formerly Central Alberta Christian Bikers) for one year and then as Chapter President for several years. In 2009 I was asked to serve on the board of directors, and in 2011 became the treasurer.
To be asked recently to serve as Chairman of the Board is not only a great responsibility, but also an honor and privilege. Serving with this board of directors is exciting as we look to the future. I believe that God has big things in store for CMA Canada, and CMA Internationally. As a board, our task is to pray, hear from God, and obey. We as leaders aren’t super heroes, we’re just ordinary people just like you, trying to serve God where he has called us. As such, your prayers for wisdom and discernment are really appreciated.
Reaching the lost can be a thankless task, and at times discouraging, but remember the words of the apostle Paul. “Therefore my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor 15:58
God sees even the little things that you do, just a kind word or picking up garbage after a rally. God will bless you as you Ride for the Son, reaching the world one heart at a time.
